Prospective tutors
We are committed to the professional development of our GP tutors, and we welcome enquiries from GPs who are interested in teaching Oxford undergraduates, whatever their previous experience of medical education.
If you are interested in joining us, your role will focus on the primary care department contribution to the undergraduate curriculum, covering a variety of subject areas such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and mental health, and communication skills.
The Primary Care Teaching Team is unique in that our courses span the entire length of the Oxford degree. This means that we get to know students from their very first day at Medical School right through to their finals, providing continuity for their whole career at Oxford.
What do we offer?
Undergraduate teaching
- Standard six-year course
- Oxford graduate entry medical course (four years)
