Professor of Epidemiology and Research Design

I am a senior epidemiologist with a special interest in research design and statistics.  

My main research focuses are on the use of large routine databases and digital health in medical research. 

Research areas include health service utilisation, diagnosis and monitoring of chronic diseases, and cancer diagnosis.

I am module co-ordinator for the Introduction to Study Design and Research Methods module on the Evidence-Based Healthcare MSc, Harnessing Big Data to Improve Clinical Care on the MSc in Applied Digital Health and the Evidence-Based Health Research Methods module on the Global Health Leadership MSc.

I also supervise full and part time MSc and DPhil students.

I am a Fellow at Kellogg College, and am currently the Welfare Dean.
