Clare Wickings

I am the Head of HR for the Department and also Deputy to the Head of Administration and Finance, Nicola Small.

I lead the provision of people-related support services and strategic project work, including policy development and overseeing the HR administrative support to the department.  The HR team administer the full range of HR functions in the department including recruitment, right to work compliance, employment contracts, employee records maintenance and reporting, and actioning payroll-related changes.  I provide support to managers and individuals in employment-related areas such as employee relations, staff development and performance management.

I also support the Head of Administration and Finance in the day-to-day non-academic management and administration of the department, with a particular focus on non-financial matters such as office and space management.
