Erin Amor

BSc MSc

Trials Administrator

I am a Research Administrator working in the Health Behaviours team, which looks at interventions to prevent or treat ill health relating to diet, obesity and smoking.

I am currently primarily working on two studies. The New DAWN study is for people who are overweight and have been recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. We know that losing weight can put diabetes into remission and NewDAWN is testing a new treatment pathway to see whether it could be used to improve diabetes treatment and outcomes.

The DIAMOND programme is looking to see how effective a low-energy, low-carbohydrate behavioural programme is for people with Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) and whether it improves the chances of remission.

I also provide support on the LightCOM study, a collaboration between researchers in Denmark and Oxford that is testing a new weight-loss programme; and the ARIADNE study, investigating the impact of total diet replacement for type 2 diabetes remission on disorder eating.
