Communications and Public Engagement Officer
I support researchers and staff to communicate their work, its meaning in a broader context and its impacts to a wide range of different groups, including directly engaging with the public.
Within the department I specifically support NIHR funded researchers and groups.
This ranges from developing easily readable summaries of research, to helping organise events and managing social media and branding.
Prior to my role here I trained as a medical biochemist, spending over 8 years working in drug development and clinical trials, before moving on to work as a science writer for a number of different publications, companies and institutions.
I am a member of the Association of British Science Writers.
