Ann McPherson Fellow

I joined MS&HERG department as an Ann Mcpherson predoctoral fellow in October 2025. Within this role I am involved in the following projects:

  • Exploring the role of in-hours GP home visits- an interview study- Lucy Frost
  •  Whatever happened to all those attempts to change access to General practice? Revisiting case studies to learn about innovation, impact and sustainable change- Catherine Pope
  • Understanding and improving endometriosis experiences: a qualitative study into patient and healthcare professionals’ experiences of management, diagnosis and treatment- Abigail McNiven
  • Improving unwarranted variation in outcomes of children’s surgery through a new Children’s Surgery Outcome Reporting system using routinely available data- Lisa Hinton

Previous to this role, I completed both a Bachelors degree in Sociology, and a Masters of Research in Sociology at the University of Bath. During my masters, I developed a particular interest in the lived experiences of individuals with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and doctor-patient communication.
