My principal research interests are in respiratory disease, diagnosis and diagnostic accuracy studies.
Previous projects have been diverse and include child health, infectious disease and diagnostic accuracy of medical devices available for purchase by the public.
In 2019 I completed my DPhil funded by the National Institute for Health Research, investigating whether we can use near-patient testing including blood eosinophil count to predict responsiveness to inhaled steroids for long-term management of patients with COPD in primary care.
I am currently continuing my research into diagnosis and management of respiratory disease, particularly focusing on the use of primary care relevant biomarkers and novel technology in airways disease.
