Assistant Trial Manager
I joined the department in December 2017 as the Assistant Trial Manager for ALIC4E (Antivirals for influenza-Like illness? An rCt of Clinical and Cost effectiveness in primary CarE) and HEAT (Helicobacter Eradication Aspirin Trial).
ALIC4E - The primary objective is to determine whether adding antiviral treatment to best usual primary care is effective in reducing time to return to usual daily activity. The trial is an open, adaptive-platform, randomised controlled trial, running across 21 networks in 15 European countries and we aim to recruit 2500 to 4500 participants over 3 flu seasons.
HEAT - A large randomised controlled trial designed to investigate whether a one week course of H. pylori eradication will reduce the incidence of gastric ulcer bleeding in patients using aspirin ≤325mg daily.
Prior to joining the department I was working in the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (Department of Oncology) for 4 years, working on a number of UK and European trials from Phase I to IV.
