Jonathan (Jono) Taylor
BA, MPhil, DPhil
Research Fellow
Jono is a health services researcher with expertise in health and social care delivery, particularly for underserved and marginalised populations. He is currently working on the NIHR HSDR-funded realist review project “Implementing relational continuity in general practice: who needs it, when, to what extent, how and why” in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London. The review aims to identify the mechanisms by which relational continuity of care (RCC) achieves its benefits, explore for whom RCC should be prioritised, and examine the contextual conditions that support or hinder its implementation. As part of this work, Jono helps to organise and facilitate stakeholder and public and patient involvement (PPI) meetings and is contributing to the development of practical, evidence-informed recommendations for improving RCC in general practice.
Prior to joining the University of Oxford, Jono was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol’s School for Policy Studies, where he managed an NIHR-funded project focused on improving outcomes for care leavers. He has also contributed to mixed-methods evaluations of services for care home residents, unpaid carers, and people experiencing homelessness, working on projects commissioned by the Department of Health, the Care Council for Wales, local authorities, and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Jono holds a BA in History and an MPhil in Social and Economic History from the University of Cambridge, and a DPhil in Social and Economic History from the University of Oxford.
