Jose Boue

Research Assistant

I am interested in environmental epidemiology, particularly the effects of climate change on health. I am currently involved in two projects related to this, one about the health components of climate action plans in Mexico and one about the impact of extreme temperatures on healthcare resource use in people with mental health conditions, particularly alcohol abuse disorders and schizophrenia. The second of these forms the basis of the work for my NIHR Predoctoral Fellowship, which I was awarded in 2025.

In addition to this, I am part of the team working on the COMPUTE grant, whose main themes are multimorbidity and machine learning.
