I lead postgraduate programme strategy work at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and direct operational delivery of our growing suite of postgraduate taught and research programmes. Our programmes aim to bring diverse cohorts together for training in specialist subject areas, encouraging broad perspective-based and peer-learning alongside expert-led teaching.
My role covers:
- Strategic design and delivery of specialist PhD and MSc level healthcare programmes, including partnering with with faculty and senior operational staff to prepare academic and business cases
- Engagement in relevant policy development, planning and governance for postgraduate study at Oxford
- Establishing sustainable structures and processes to support efficient and excellent teaching delivery and facilitate positive student experience.
- Designing and leading co-curricular student and staff-focussed personal/professional development events.
- Champion of internal departmental value-setting and leadership training programmes
Coaching and coaching supervision
I am also qualified as a professional coach, and have experience of coaching both students and staff to further their personal and career development. I can offer the following expertise:
- an informal conversation about the potential benefits of engaging with a coach (more information for staff here: University’s staff coaching network)
- advise on setting up and/or running a coaching/mentoring programme
- qualitative research experience in coaching and postgraduate education
