Prevention in Practice (PiP)
My primary research interests are understanding and optimising preventative interventions in primary care. In particular how consultation modality (for example, remote consulting or ‘digital first’ care) impacts how prevention is delivered and received, especially for those from disadvantaged groups.
I completed my Academic Clinical Fellowship in the department working with the Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group and Health Behaviours team on a range of projects related to smoking and obesity.
I am also interested in primary care and public health more broadly in the UK and internationally. After completing an MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health, I was a Margaret Mahoney Fellow working on a range of advocacy projects at the Primary Care Development Corporation in New York, USA.
I am currently an NHS GP in Oxford and Assistant Editor of InnovAiT, the RCGP education journal.
