Lucy Curtin
Senior Executive Assistant to Professor Sir Aziz Sheikh and Professor James Sheppard
My role is to provide executive support to Professor Sir Aziz Sheikh, Nuffield Professor and Professor James Sheppard, Associate Professor
I joined the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences in June 2017. I have worked at the University of Oxford for over 25 years in HoD PA and Course Administration roles. My first role in the University was in the Department of Psychiatry as PA to Professor Guy Goodwin, who was Head of Department then. It was a great mix of research PA work and medical secretary role for the Professorial Outpatient Clinic.
In NDPCHS I cover extensive diary scheduling and management of a large volume of emails as well as arranging and minuting meetings and arranging some department events.
The things I enjoy most about my job are the lovely interesting people I work with, including the PAs and EAs in my department and those across the University and Colleges.
For a number of years now I have organised a University PA EA network group which is a growing network of university PAs and EAs. This network now has its own Teams site and is now a Community of Practice where we continue to share best practice and help each other with work queries. We are friendly and enthusiastic and we warmly welcome other PAs and EAs to join. Please email me for more details.
