Lydia Prieto-Sepulveda

Lydia is an NIHR pre-doctoral fellow based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. She joined the Health Economics and Policy Evaluation research group on December 2023 to develop her pre-doctoral fellowship, supervised by Dr Catia Nicodemo and Professor Stavros Petrou.

She holds an MA in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies with a Work and Public Policy specialization and a BSc in Economics. She has previous experience working in Gender and Health Economics. For her final master's project, she conducted a research on household indebtedness and informal care and wellbeing using survey data from the Barcelona Public Health Agency. 

Currently, she is working with electronic health records. She is interested in the inequalities in the use of and access to health care for older people with multi-morbidity and the health burden of informal care. During this fellowship, Lydia plans to further develop her skills in quantitative research methods.
