Lydia Prieto

  • NIHR pre-doctoral fellow

Lydia is an NIHR pre-doctoral fellow based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. She joined the Health Economics and Policy Evaluation research group on December 2023 to develop her pre-doctoral fellowship, supervised by Dr Catia Nicodemo and Professor Stavros Petrou.

Lydia holds a BSc in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and a MSc in Gender Studies from the Inter-University Women and Gender Studies Institute, with a Work and Public Policy specialization. For her final master's project, she conducted a research on household indebtedness and unpaid workload and wellbeing. 

Previously, she has worked for two years as a research assistant at the Barcelona Institute of Economics on gender and health economics. During this fellowship, Lydia plans to further develop her skills in quantitative research methods.
