Nina Gobat

Senior Researcher

I am a senior post-doctoral researcher with a background in health and behavioural sciences. My current research seeks solutions to ethical, administrative, regulatory and logistical barriers that stand in the way of clinical research being delivered during infectious disease outbreaks. This is a cross cutting work stream aligned with clinical studies delivered through the Platform foR European Preparedness Against Re-emerging Epidemics (PREPARE). We consider innovations to the way in which clinical research is designed, delivered and disseminated and aim to influence a favourable environment for outbreak-relevant clinical studies. Previously, my research focused on the development and evaluation of complex behavioural interventions in public health and clinical settings. Prior to my work in academia, I worked in numerous clinical, operational health service roles, including in setting up and managing health services, in South Africa and the UK.
