Ann McPherson Fellow

I joined the Department in October 2025 after being awarded the MS&HERG Ann McPherson predoctoral fellowship. The role entails 1. training in qualitative research methods, and 2. supporting senior researchers on various projects. I have been involved in the following projects:

  • Evaluation of the Obstetric Bleeding Study Trial (with Tanvi Rai and Lisa Hinton)
  • Use of Polygenic Risk Scores in Primary Health Care (with Lisa Hinton and Kathryn Sheridan)
  • Ethnic disparities in obstetric anaesthesia (with Lisa Hinton)
  • PATH study, Pressure treAtment decision aid in collaboraTion witH diverse patients and clinicians (with James Sheppard, Katherine Tucker, Claire Reidy, Rebecca Barnes, Lisa Hinton)

My academic background is in Medical Sociology and Anthropology. I completed both by BA and MPhil at the University of Cambridge, where I focused on feminist epistemologies and reproductive healthcare.
