Sheba Ziyenge

Data Analyst

I am a data analyst/statistician within the Cancer Theme group.

I have a background in maths and statistics including an MSc in Medical Statistics from the University of Leicester.

I joined the Cancer Theme group in November 2023. My current research focuses on understanding variation in testing in the cancer diagnostic pathway, using linked primary care records data from ORCHID-E.

Prior to this, I worked for NHS England as a data analyst supporting Integrated Care Boards within the South East region. I also have experience working as a research data analyst and manager in surgical sciences and vaccine clinical trials at the University of Oxford.

My key interests are statistical programming and utilising large electronic health records within observational studies for developing prediction tools and addressing health inequalities.
