Stella Haffner
Research Assistant
Stella Haffner is a research assistant in the Health Behaviours team. She joined the department in 2023 where she has focused on evaluating lifestyle interventions that aim to prevent comorbidity and promote overall health - particularly through weight management.
Prior to joining the department, Stella completed her BSc in Biology and Psychology at the University of St Andrews in 2022 and her MSc in Experimental Research at the University of Edinburgh in 2023.
CURRENT PROJECTS
- collaborating with NHS England to evaluate the UK government's 2021 Obesity Plan
- investigating strategies to help expectant mothers prevent gestational diabetes
- developing a brief, opportunistic intervention to support people living with serious mental illness and obesity to access weight management services
