Stuart Redding

Project Lead, Health Economics and Policy Evaluation Group

I am a Project Lead in the Health Economics and Policy Evaluation Group in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton.

My research interests are:

• Health Services and policy assessment

• Labour Economics

• Applied Economics

• Secondary data analysis

I am working on projects on:

• Rapid evaluation of technology-enabled remote monitoring in health and social care as part of the Digitally Enabled Care in Diverse Environments (DECIDE) programme

• Waiting Times in Emergency Departments (ED-WAITS)

• Hospital resilience during winter pressure (NIHR)

• A second wave of crisis in the NHS after the COVID-19 pandemic

I also supervise MSc students on the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care and co-lead the health economics module in MSc Applied Digital Health.
