My DPhil research is focused on young people managing Type 1 Diabetes in the context of Secondary School and the implications for their Mental Health and Wellbeing. How can the perspective and situated experience of young people with T1D, be communicated to school staff to enhance understanding, empathy and improve holistic support in school, for better wellbeing with this long term condition?
