DPhil in Primary Health Care (PRS)

Zython is a health modeller by work experience with a background in quantitative modelling and a recipient of the NDPCHS Research Studentship through the Oxford Precision Oncology for Sarcoma (OxPOS) project. He is currently pursuing a DPhil at Oxford, focusing on patient pathway optimisation for sarcoma care management.

He completed an MSc in Modelling for Global Health (with Distinction) at Oxford, where his dissertation examined the disease burden, impact of control interventions, and epidemiological dynamics of COVID-19 in Mindanao, Philippines, using a multi-model approach. His MSc study was funded by the Philippines' Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute through the Foreign Graduate Scholarship. 

Before his graduate studies, Zython held various R&D roles in the Philippines, including Senior Science Research Specialist and Executive Research and Program Assistant at the Center for Applied Modeling, Data Analytics, and Bioinformatics for Decision Support Systems in Health. More recently, he served as Project Officer II and Executive Assistant to the Center Director at the Mindanao Center for Disease Watch and Analytics.

He did his Applied Mathematics (major in Operations Research) undergraduate degree at the University of the Philippines Mindanao.
