Social Science of Innovation

This Doctoral programme, directed by Professor Trish Greenhalgh, is designed primarily for those graduating from the MSc in Translational Health Sciences.

It offers the research student the opportunity to pursue – either full- or part-time – an applied research project in the human, organisational, societal, regulatory/legal or ethical aspects of translating innovations and research discoveries into benefits for patients and/or improving the efficiency or cost-effectiveness of healthcare. 

Students on this DPhil will usually be supervised by academics who are members of the IRIHS unit.
