As a clinical academic Consultant Paramedic, I completed a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship under the supervision of Kamal Mahtani, Geoff Wong, and Stephanie Tierney.
My DPhil sought to explore the impact of paramedics in NHS primary care, using realist approaches to improve understanding, support intelligent policy and make recommendations for future workforce planning. Using the evidence produced from this work, I have worked with various stakeholders, including the College of Paramedics, to produce a Toolkit for Paramedics working in Primary Care.
I am a facilitator and co-chair within the Oxfordshire Council for Allied Health Professions Research, where I actively support the advancement of interdisciplinary healthcare research. Additionally, I am a Scientist International Collaborator in the McNally Project, dedicated to enhancing research capacity in paramedicine across the globe. Recently, I was appointed as a Deputy Editor of Paramedicine, a paramedic-led, international, peer-reviewed open access journal.
