Annual leave will vary for each employee depending on grade, contract hours and length of service. For full details of your holiday entitlement, please refer to terms and conditions of employment.
Most full-time staff get 30 days plus 8 bank holidays, with part-time staff getting a pro rata allocation in hours. Some clinical grades have a different allocation as specified in contracts.

Part-time staff are entitled to the pro-rata equivalent of their annual leave days (varies according to length of service), plus 8 public holidays per year (also pro rata).

You can reclaim annual leave, providing you comply with the procedure for reporting sickness absence. Staff will not be able to reclaim public holidays during any periods of sickness absence.

University rules state that a maximum of 5 days can be carried over at the end of the holiday year (except for staff who have taken family leave who are entitled to all their accrued leave). Exceptional arrangements were in place for staff unable to take leave due to essential COVID work.
There is no need to notify HR of carry-overs up to 5 days, they will be actioned automatically.
