Fixed Term Contracts

I am employed on a fixed term contract and have been informed that there is no further funding to support my post. What happens next?

The HR Team will be in touch with you to discuss the redeployment and end of fixed term contract process. We do this 3-4 months before the end of your contract, in line with the university regulation here

I have a member of staff on a fixed-term contract, externally funded. What procedure do I need to follow when their contract is due to end?

You need to be thinking about this at least 6-9 months ahead. Group leads are provided with monthly staff lists so that they can monitor this.

Please get in in touch with grants team at post-award@phc.ox.ac.uk in the first instance, who will be able to discuss the funding available. Please follow the process for extending contracts here
