University and Department support
- Spectrum.Life (Employee Assistance Programme) - offers a confidential, safe and supportive environment for individuals to seek guidance and support, under highest clinical governance.
 - Mental Health First Aiders - offer confidential, informal support to anyone within the department experiencing poor mental health or stress, whether work-related or not. They can be your first point of contact and, by understanding your situation, can talk through your options and signpost you to the right service if further support is required.
 - Student counselling support - request an appointment in-person, by phone, or by email.

- International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) - resources and campaign materials around this year’s theme “Changing the narrative on suicide.”
 
- MHFA England - tools and a free webinar to support suicide prevention in workplaces.

- Papyrus UK - HOPELINE247 offers free, confidential support for young people under 35 experiencing suicidal thoughts, and for anyone concerned about them.

Support for those affected by suicide
Losing someone to suicide can be an overwhelming and isolating experience. If you, or someone you know, has been affected, there are specialist services offering compassionate support:
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) – peer-led groups, a helpline, and resources for adults who have been bereaved by suicide.
Support After Suicide Partnership – a hub of UK organisations and resources for anyone affected, including practical advice and emotional support.
Cruse Bereavement Support – free and confidential support for people dealing with all types of bereavement, including suicide loss.
