Mandatory training

All members of the Department must undertake the following training, as required by the department training policy:   

• Information security and data privacy awareness course and Information Governance on an annual basis as specified on the IG Training pages
• Equality and Diversity Briefing on a triennial basis.
• Health and Safety Basics on a triennial basis.
• Anti Bribery & Corruption: Managing the Risk on an annual basis.
• Conflicts of Interest: Identifying interests and making declarations
• Harassment in Higher Education on a triennial basis.

 In addition research staff must undertake the following training: 

• Research Integrity: Introductory Core Course every 5 years.

 Chairs of recruitment panels must and other members of recruitment panels should undertake the following training: 

• Recruitment and Selection course
• Implicit bias in the Workplace course

 Managers and supervisors must undertake the following training: 

• People Managers' Toolkit the Manager Fundamentals section must be completed as a minimum
• Health and Safety training for Managers & Supervisors (E-learning course)

Managers and supervisors with responsibilities for managing work related road safety hazards within their team/s must undertake the following training: 

• Managing Work Related Road Safety (e-learning course)
