Student visitors
This process is for potential visitors to the department who are currently enrolled on a postgraduate course at another institution.
If the individual concerned is not a student, please follow the visitor process with HR. If you are unsure of the student visitor process, please contact graduate.studies@phc.ox.ac.uk in the first instance.
If the period of over the visit is over 12 weeks, the visitor must use the recognised student route (this is a much more formal process with set deadlines/timeframes and application must be done formally through central Graduate Admissions).
Fees for student visitors are under review, the fees listed for full visitors here are currently applicable.
To apply:
The visitor (or host on visitor’s behalf) must submit to graduate.studies@phc.ox.ac.uk:
- A completed application form (link on right)
- CV
- A letter of support from current institution confirming current registration and support of visit
These documents must be submitted at least 2 months before the intended start date to allow for processing.
If the visit is approved (by DGS) then a letter of invitation and visitor agreement will be issued.
Around 2 weeks before the agreed start date, the visitor will receive an invitation to enter details onto an online form to facilitate the issue of a university card and, if applicable, receive instructions to department IG training etc.
