Medical Sciences Division gathered field for conferment results published.

Diagnostics researcher awarded associate professorship

Dr Ann Van den Bruel has this week been conferred the title of Associate Professor in the latest Medical Sciences Division gathered field for conferment. 

Ann has been recognised for her commitments to research and teaching in the department.

Ann's research has focused mainly on the diagnosis of serious infections in children, with research findings leading to guideline change, including the development of a NICE guideline on feverish children. She is the Director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative Oxford, and has recently published on public attitudes to overdetection in cancer screening.
