The DPhil Afternoon is a valuable opportunity for the Department’s Primary Care students to present their research.
First year students gave an ‘elevator pitch’ of five minutes, followed by five minutes of questions, and second years presented for 10 minutes (also followed by five minutes of question time). The research presented was fantastically varied, with topics ranging from cardiovascular risk in Kenya to improving homeless people’s access to general dental services in England. Students handled questions from the audience with confidence, and their passion for their research was plain to see.
