Weight Management Panel
The Health Behaviours team knows that our research will be better with your input and your ideas - ideas about what is important to you and the public generally and ideas about how we conduct our research.
What does the panel do?
Our research aims to improve people’s health through helping them lose weight. Our ambitions are big: we want our research to change the healthcare system and even to help change government policy. As NHS patients and members of the public, you are the ones who stand to benefit. This will only happen if we tackle research questions that matter to you and we if design our research so that it is easy for people to take part.
We invite members of the Panel to help us design our research projects all the way through from start to finish. We involve the Panel when we plan research and ask them to help us shape our ideas. We ask the Panel to meet with us to discuss what we discover and how to put it into practice.
What will taking part involve?
When we have something that we want the Panel’s input on, we will email asking for your help. This might be about feedback we want on a specific idea, or opportunities to get involved in a particular study, or more creative projects that show the experience of people living with obesity. When these requests come through it’s entirely up to you whether or not you respond to them.
How do I get involved?
