Patient and Public Involvement
About
CARRii is committed to ensuring that its research is shaped, driven, and informed by those most affected by respiratory conditions. Our PPI Platform brings together a network of over 150 patients and public contributors to co-develop research, influence policy, and champion change.
This platform promotes best practice in public involvement across all our work. Through training, collaboration, and partnership-building, we are creating a pipeline of future applied respiratory researchers and patient advocates with the knowledge, skills, and capacity to lead change.
CARRii will support this effort by:
Embedding researchers in clinical settings
Working with commercial partners to explore innovative approaches
Collaborating with Health Innovation Networks and the NHS
Engaging policymakers and patient advocacy groups to ensure research has real-world impact
Our long-term goal is to make the UK a global leader in applied respiratory research - one where public voices are not only heard, but drive lasting improvement in health outcomes.
Putting people with lived experience at the centre of respiratory innovation.
