Health professional administered brief insomnia therapy trial (HABIT)
The HABIT trial is a multicentre, pragmatic, randomised controlled trial which aims to investigate whether practice nurse-delivered SRT is effective at reducing insomnia severity compared with sleep hygiene (SH) advice alone. Patients will be followed up at 3, 6 and 12 months post-randomisation.
Patients in the SRT+SH arm will receive four SRT sessions with the practice nurse over 4 weeks in addition to written advice on SH. The trial will recruit 588 patients across 24 practices in three locations in England (Thames Valley, Manchester and Lincolnshire).
Our team are conducting an economic evaluation alongside the HABIT trial.
