Elisabeth Atlan

DPhil Student in Primary Health Care

My DPhil investigates the implementation of multicancer detection tests in primary health care settings in the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on symptomatic patients and health equity.

I hold a Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences, with a Certificate in Chronic Disease Epidemiology, from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, as well as a BA in Global Health and Social Medicine from King’s College London. I am currently conducting research with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on the equitable implementation of multicancer detection tests.

My research interests include health inequalities in early cancer detection and paediatric oncology. Prior to joining Oxford, I worked on projects including assessing barriers to clinical trial enrolment for adolescents and young adults with cancer, and the relationship between structural racism and cervical cancer outcomes.
