Jeremy Leslie-Spinks

DPhil Student

Jeremy is a former professional dancer, choreographer. ballet master and director.  He has worked for over 50 years in ballet companies all over the world, meanwhile picking up a handful of European languages and an MSc in Dance Science.

A few years ago, he was diagnosed with a degenerative spinal condition. Current procedures offer no viable solution, so that treatment in his case is conservative and palliative. Patient experience in this situation leaves numerous questions unanswered, and he feels there is useful research that could be done both in terms of care-protocol design and in respect of surgical options. Research into these and related areas form the basis for his DPhil research.
