Biography

My doctoral research explores the design, development and scaling of digital mental health interventions for forcibly displaced populations, with a focus on cultural sensitivity. Under the supervision of Professor Catherine Pope and Dr Lei Clifton, I am using mixed methods of observation, survey, interviews and focus groups, to conduct a case study on a UK-based social enterprise. My research is funded through a Commonwealth (University of Oxford) scholarship.

Prior to my DPhil studies, I worked as a senior intelligence manager at a digital health market intelligence firm, and interned at a healthcare non-profit serving migrant workers. For my MPhil in Population Health Sciences at the University of Cambridge, I specialised in infectious diseases, and was supervised by Dr Charlotte Hammer for my dissertation on reporting trends in the WHO Disease Outbreak News (DONs). My current research interests are in global health, migrant health, reducing health inequities, mental health and wellbeing, and arts and culture.
