Rosa Mackay
MSc, BSc (Hons)
Research Assistant (Ann McPherson Fellow)
I am a pre-doctoral research fellow within the Medical Sociology & Health Experiences Research Group, contributing to a range of projects. These currently include exploring the use of at-home fetal Dopplers, and the self-management of antihypertensive medication after a hypertensive pregnancy.
Following my BSc in Biomedical Science (Hons Reproductive Biology) at the University of Edinburgh, I undertook an MSc in Reproductive and Sexual Health Research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. For my dissertation I conducted a qualitative analysis that explored people’s experience of abortion care in Britain to understand how and why people having abortions use online sources of information.
I am interested in people’s experiences of healthcare and how these can be improved, particularly in the realm of sexual and reproductive health.
