Cecilia Rago
Data Scientist and DPhil Candidate
My DPhil in Primary Health Care Sciences explores factors associated with the transmission of the influenza virus in Europe and Africa.
As a Data Scientist I work on the modernisation of public-facing health surveillance reports within a dedicated research team. Notable projects have included the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC) annual report for 2024-25, and national respiratory surveillance reports and dashboards.
I have provided data-cuts from the Oxford-Royal College of General Practitioners Clinical Informatics Digital Hub (ORCHID) for statistical analysis for a range of different research studies, and I was a dissertation project tutor for the inaugural cohort of the MSc in Applied Digital Health in 2023.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Master’s in Translational Clinical Science from University College London. Prior to joining Oxford in 2019, I was a Statistician, and began my career in health data management and analysis in 2012.
