I am a Speech and Language Therapist (currently researcher) and member of Green Templeton College, reading for a DPhil in Primary Health Care at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
My study explores the life stories and work histories of adults with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Reading difficulties, hidden conditions that frequently co-occur.
I am an expert by life-experience, with a profile of Dyslexia and Developmental Co-ordination Disorder. My patient-led study combines my professional interest in the gap in services for adults with DLD, with co-production to inform the design of future provision. After my PhD, I would like to use findings from this project to conduct an intervention study, to support young people and adults with DLD in the workplace.
My study is supervised by Professor Trish Greenhalgh, Professor Maggie Snowling and Dr Anne Ferrey.
