World-leading Centre for Primary Care Research

Our Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit is a world-leading centre for primary care research, conducting high-quality clinical trials to improve patient and community health. We are a UKCRC registered clinical trials unit (Oxford Collaborative CTU).

The unit focuses on key research areas such as infectious diseases, cardiovascular health, and behavioural medicine. We offer dynamic clinical trial design including platform trials, adaptive designs and innovation around complex interventions.

With a multidisciplinary team and strong partnerships nationally and internationally, the unit is committed to patient-centred care, rigorous research, and impactful dissemination of findings to influence health policies and practices.
