Health Services Research UK (HSR UK) 18th annual conference
DECIDE had a strong presence at HSR UK this year, with presentations on technology-enabled remote monitoring for COPD led by Nikki Newhouse, Online Health Checks led by Jackie van Dael and Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring led by Frances Wu at RAND Europe.
Our presentations highlighted: (1) sharing timely knowledge; (2) helping nurture communities of practice in health services research and evaluation on tech-enabled health and care; and (3) helping share formative insights on the methodology of rapid evaluation.
Sonja Marjanovic led a workshop focusing on policy and practice priorities to support the sustainability, spread and scale of tech-enabled remote monitoring. It was extremely rewarding to have a workshop with both researchers and very strong presence of patient voice on this issue – key to patient-centred care.
The presentations can be viewed below:
- Technology-enabled remote monitoring for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a rapid evaluation
- 'User' representations in the design of NHS Online Health Checks: Who counts?
- Potential for scale and spread of technology-enabled remote monitoring of blood pressure at home
- Informing policy and practice priorities to support the sustainability, spread and scale of Tech-Enabled Remote Monitoring (TERM) in health and care
