PPI Advisory Group on Maternal Health
Who we are
This Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Advisory Group on Maternal Health is a group of people all of whom have recent experience of pregnancy, parenting, or breastfeeding children. Members of the group use their experiences to advise on the programme of research Rebekah Burrow is leading. To understand more about how we work together, please look at our PPI Advisory Group statement.
How you can help
I am looking for more women and people to join this Advisory Group. I am particularly keen to include people whose experiences and perspectives might not be well understood or represented by our current members. Right now, this includes women under 25, women from the global majority, and women without university degrees, among many others.
If you might be interested to join please contact me at rebekah.burrow@phc.ox.ac.uk.
But does the idea of working with researchers make you feel worried?
Do you think you don't know enough?
Or do you suspect I might not listen, or understand?
Please give me a chance!
We can just start with a chat, with no commitment.
I provide timely compensation at £30 per hour, and cover Wifi, travel and subsistence expenses.
What we have achieved
So far, this Advisory Group, and other PPI contributors with experience of pregnancy, parenting, and breastfeeding, have advised me on lots of different projects. You can find links to these on the left-hand side of my webpage.
