Our latest addition is the research findings and data arising from an analysis and synthesis of information from James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships.
To date, over 130 PSPs in different areas of health and care have published Top 10 research priorities. This project aimed to facilitate new research and research funding by:
- describing the availability and nature of information published by PSPs;
- describing the characteristics of Top 10 research priorities produced by PSPs;
- identifying overarching topics or themes common to Top 10 research priorities from UK-based PSPs in different areas of health and care.

Helping patients to reduce their salt or saturated fat intake
Information booklets - ‘Cutting down on saturated fat’ and ‘Cutting down on salt’, developed to support healthcare professionals in providing evidence-based recommendations on how to reduce the intake of saturated fat to help lower LDL cholesterol and salt to reduce blood pressure. These dietary changes will help to prevent cardiovascular disease.
Supportive and effective conversations about weight management referrals
Primary care clinicians are encouraged by guidelines to offer people with obesity a free referral to a weight management service, like Slimming World or WW. In this video we provide specific, evidence-based, information about what to say when making an offer of referral.
