Senior Academic Committee

Terms of Reference:
- To promote collaborative working and provide opportunities for informal discussion in matters relevant to the smooth running and/or development of the department
- To inform decisions made by the Departmental Strategy Committee on matters affecting the department, with particular reference to:
- the budget and forecast,
- allocation of resources and accommodation,
- academic appointments
- strategy
- risk management
- To act as a dissemination forum to ensure that important information from the University, from external bodies, and from within the department are disseminated and discussed by senior academics and group leads on a timely basis.
Frequency of Meetings:
Twice per term in, or around, 4th week and 10th week
Membership:
All members of the department with the title Professor or Associate Professor
Ex Officio members:
- Head of Administration
- Head of HR
- Head of Finance
- Head of IT
- Head of Communications
Secretary to the Committee: EA to the Head of Department
